About the SME Minnesota Conference
The Minnesota Section – which dates to 1921 – strives to advance the mining and minerals community in our region by providing members with an informative and educational annual conference for the purpose of information exchange and professional development; through the efforts of the sub-sections, by promoting meaningful educational opportunities for professional development with informative meetings and short courses throughout the year; and by promoting and developing future careers in the industry through scholarships, internships, and involvement with educational institutions.
